I’m Honored: Designing the Artwork for the 2025 Montclair Film Festival
When Montclair Film reached out about creating the official artwork for their 14th annual festival, I felt it immediately — this was a perfect match. Loveville has always been about color, compassion, and connection, and a film festival is where all three show up at once: strangers in a dark room, hearts open, sharing a story. Montclair Film
The Brief (and the Heart Behind It)
The goal was simple and beautiful: craft a visual that feels bright, positive, and welcoming — something that says “come as you are, leave a little more connected.” I leaned into my signature Loveville style: bold lines, playful characters, and colors that radiate joy. The composition brings different perspectives together around a shared screen — a nod to how film unites us even when our lives look nothing alike. Montclair Film captured that spirit perfectly in their announcement, and I’m grateful for the trust. Montclair Film
Why This Matters to Me
Loveville isn’t just about romantic love; it’s self-love, community love, everyday humanity. My hope is that anyone who sees this poster feels welcomed — like this festival is for them, too. Art should open doors, not guard them.
See It in the Wild (and On You)
The festival runs October 17–26, 2025, with screenings, panels, and special events all over Montclair. You’ll spot the artwork across the festival — from posters and signage to digital placements. I was also asked to create official festival merch, so you can literally wear the love while you watch the films. Montclair Girl+1
